CNC Programmer/Operator Needed

Position Objective:

Must have a thorough understanding of AutoCAD and experience, preferably, with Sign Making Software. CNC and Vinyl Cutting experience desired.

Major Responsibilities:

„« Interpret CAD drawings into cut files.
„« Coordinate with in house divisions to assess job schedules and priorities.
„« Check own work for correctness and accuracy.
„« Maintain CNC area. Includes: changing/cleaning air filter weekly, sweeping, organizing materials, etc.
„« Ordering materials and machine bits in anticipation of upcoming workloads.
„« Loading and unloading a range of materials onto the CNC machine.
„« Plotting full-scale drawings from AutoCAD files.
„« Creating and using files to cut vinyl and rubber resist on Vinyl Cutter.
„« Assembling various plastic, wood or Styrofoam components required.
„« Be punctual in arriving for work and follow all company policies while on the premises.
„« Organizing files and completed work for future reference.

Knowledge/Skills/Abilities:

A general understanding of computer software with a strong emphasis in AutoCAD and/or Sign Making Software is required. CNC training is available but prior knowledge is a plus. Individual must be able to work in high demand situations and manage their own time efficiently. Individual must also be in good physical conditions as they are required to load and unload materials needed for machining. General understanding of Spanish is also a plus.

Education:

College level coursework preferred. Certifications in AutoCAD and/or various engineering trades are highly desired.
